The most common questions we get before a trip are about arrival: what time, and where. This guide answers both, and covers what to bring and the policies worth knowing.
Times
- Check-in: 4:00 PM.
- Check-out: 11:00 AM.
- Quiet hours at the yurts and Airstreams: 10 PM to 7 AM.
Where to check in
- Summer, April through September: Royal Gorge Rafting, West US Hwy 50, Cañon City, CO.
- Winter, October through March: Cañon City Outpost, 302 Royal Gorge Blvd, Cañon City, CO.
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays the office is closed, so there is nowhere to stop. A team member calls you the day you arrive and meets you to check you in, so keep your phone on and within reach. Reservations stay open every day. Our properties are about 10 miles west of the Royal Gorge Bridge, a 15-minute drive.
What is provided
- Linens are provided at every stay.
- Our homes and tiny homes have full kitchens, the luxury Airstreams have kitchenettes, and the yurts have no kitchen.
- Wi-Fi is available at our homes and Airstreams. Coverage in the yurts is limited.
What to bring to a yurt or Airstream
- Warm layers for cool evenings.
- A flashlight or headlamp.
- Personal toiletries.
- Food and snacks, since the yurts do not have kitchens.
Policies worth knowing
- Cancellation: deposits are refundable, less a $50 processing fee, if you cancel more than 30 days before check-in. Inside 30 days, the full reservation amount is charged.
- Smoking is not allowed inside any of our properties. Select luxury homes have designated outdoor smoking areas.
- Pets are welcome only at the Riverside Yurts. Read the full pet policy.
- Events are allowed with prior approval at our four large homes, and not at The Cabin or The Phoenix.
